Within 1 month you will:
Pair with members across the team to become familiar with the codebase Have your PR's approved and ship feature improvements to production Meet with team leaders across the organization to gain organizational awareness Become familiar with our workflow and contribute to our process Within 2 months you will:
Identify and build a new feature to improve the quality of life of our internal teams Have a strong understanding on how all of our systems work together Contribute to major feature releases Within 3 months you will:
Forge strong relationships and consistently offer and receive mentorship Meet with others across the team and organization to plan and execute solutions Participate in roadmap planning for future product enhancements
Responsibilities:
You build it all! - Implement solutions spanning the full stack from infrastructure to internal tools utilizing React, Ruby on Rails, Python, Terraform & AWS Mentor and coach team members in development and DevOps practices, embrace pairing and sharing your knowledge Develop internal admin tools and features to support teams across the organization Expand the DevOps mindset of the engineering team by example Leverage your existing knowledge and expertise to implement the right level of security improvements where necessary Implement observability solutions to improve awareness of application performance Assist with management of cloud infrastructure spending and optimize for a healthy balance of performance, scalability and cost Participate in project planning activities Identify and fix bugs, performance issues Requirements Have 3
years of experience developing full stack web applications, and supporting production infrastructure to run them Ability to take a project concept, talk to the right people, architect a solution and get it done end to end Strong database knowledge - know how to optimize SQL beyond the ORM, capable with Elasticsearch/NoSQL Value feedback and are constantly working on being a considerate and thoughtful team member Understand the importance of security and durable systems Are not afraid to ask questions when you don't know the answer Possess a love for learning and are continuously working to improve your craft Care about code quality and maintainability Ability and desire to work in a highly committed startup environment Nice to have:
Have a DevOps background, ability to identify isolate and resolve production issues in a timely manner Proven experience working in mission critical environments Bachelors in CS, engineering from a leading university or equivalent work experience Benefits Health Dental Vision 401k Paid vacation Stock grants (FVRR).
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
