Site Construction Manager 24-36 month contract Iron Mountain, MI $35-45/hr
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily oversight of all construction activities including earthwork, cofferdams, rock excavation & blasting and construction of hydroelectric generating facility
Oversight and reporting of scheduling and budget activities
Manage the Safety, Quality and QCIP program at the site.
Responsibility for compliance to environmental permits and conditions
Responsibility for compliance to Federal, State and Local permits.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management is required with a minimum of 5 years of construction engineering or related experience such as plant operations or maintenance engineering.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Previous construction or project management experience. Familiarity with contracts and management of contracts. Ability to work with and lead multiple organizations.
Additional Information
o The true title of this position is Construction Engineer
o Assignment length is 2 to 3 yrs
o Candidate would be driving their own vehicle, mileage reimbursement eligible, would need valid proof of insurance on record
o Housing reimbursement provided
o Rock excavation experience isn't required
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
