Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain, MI has two Psychologist positions available.
The incumbent will serve as the Director of Psychology Internship Training program and as a Staff Psychologist in the Behavioral Health Clinic or as a Clinical Psychologist in the Behavioral Health Service.
Specific responsibilities include:
Director of Psychology Internship Training, Staff Psychologist Oversee the local participation in the national recruitment and selection process of interns.
This includes chairing annually established Selection Committee meetings and recruitment/selection process for Psychology Internship Program Maintain a comprehensive evaluation system of these trainees that is consistent with APA guidelines, and submitting summaries of this data in the manner required by APA Develop program self-studies as need to maintain national accreditation Provides clinical supervision and instruction to psychology interns Provides as needed a full range of psychological assessment services, including the use of psychological testing and diagnostic interviews to complete evaluations and diagnoses of mental disorders, particularly for complex or unusually difficult patients Develops, implements, and documents the psychotherapeutic treatment plan for an assigned caseload of patients, including prompt completion of clinical reminders Additional responsibilities as required Clinical PsychologistPerform psychological assessments, diagnostic evaluations, crises interventions, psychotherapy, and care management servicesDesigns and implements the evaluation of treatment efforts or services of health care delivery program and support services in the hospitalConsults with or provides psychological services to treatment programs or hospital services outside of his/her primary duty assignmentAssist in diagnostic assessments, psychological assessments, psychosocial assessment, discharge planning, follow-up management, and coordination of care Serve as consultant to other agencies and community organizations Additional responsibilities as requiredWORK SCHEDULE:
