Field Mechanic

M. J. Electric, LLC is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Field Mechanic for our branch office located in Iron Mountain, MI. This position is responsible to troubleshoot, maintain and repair all types of heavy equipment, trailers and vehicles for electrical utility transmission line construction projects throughout the state of Minnesota. M. J. Electric, LLC, a Quanta Services company, provides nationwide electrical construction services specializing in transmission & distribution line, substation, in-plant electrical and instrumentation. With over fifty years' experience and a strong set of values, we consistently provide the technical expertise and experience to construct the most complex projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:\r\n
Diagnose, inspect and repair diesel engines, gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, air conditioning systems, compressors, generators, suspensions, brakes, transmissions, fuel injection systems, ignition systems and air tools\r\n\t
Annual D.O.T. & crane Inspections\r\n\t
Replace and repair damaged components\r\n\t
Perform vehicle preventative maintenance\r\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\r\n\r\n
Extensive (5-8 years) experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment (wheeled and tracked) or trucks\r\n\t
Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, maintenance manuals, service bulletins and diagrams \r\n\t
Strong welding (MIG \/TIG) and fabrication skills\r\n\t
Must possess a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with clean driving record.\r\n\t
Basic understanding of D.O.T Regulations\r\n\t
Good organizational and recordkeeping skills\r\n\t
Ability to provide mechanical oversight to equipment on numerous projects throughout a geographical area\r\n\t
Proficient in the use of diagnostic and testing equipment\r\n\t
Customer service skills\r\n\t
Drug testing required\r\n\t
Education\r\n\t

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
