Sales Engineer

Overview
Systems Control is a state-of-the-art engineering, designer, and manufacturer of protection & control relay panels, outdoor enclosures, telecomm cabinets, substations, and other utility & oil/gas integrated solutions.
Currently we are seeking a detail-oriented professional to provide technical sales support to our customers.
Responsibilities
Primary point of contact with customer during bid preparation, including clarifying specification requirements and verifying bid scope
Ability to read P&C drawings (one-line, three-line, substation, etc.) and assist in determining customer requirements and project scope
Ability to select components to meet the RFQ requirements and adding auxiliary items not shown on the one-line drawing to complete a functional system
Develop detailed cost estimates (including labor costs and obtaining material quotations) from customer Request for Quotations. Data provided in RFQs can vary from detailed drawings and bills of material with component part numbers to limited details, i.e., one-line drawings and/or concept descriptions/specifications
Prepare price and technical proposals for customer submittal. This includes preparation of standard proposal letters, bills of material, and supporting data or completing/preparing customer structured bid responses
Customer follow-up on submitted proposals for status and/or clarifications
Minimal travel involved for meetings at customer locations and taking part in marketing exhibits/conferences to showcase Systems Control's products
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in an electrical-related field or equivalent experience.
Ten years of experience in a technical field
Five years of experience in preparing / reviewing technical documents
Familiarity with electrical equipment, materials and specifications
Strong ability to interpret electrical drawings (one-line diagrams and schematics) and mechanical drawings
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Attention to detail and the ability to work under strict deadlines
Flexibility in daily work by being able to stop/start & change tasks with ease



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
