Automation Network Engineer

Description Create scripts and programs to simplify and automate assessments, installations and maintenance of computer networks.  Install network components for one of the various systems: optical transport networks, SP core & access, CMTS, Mobility, SP video & head-ends and any other solutions or technologies that CCI chooses to add to the sales/services portfolio.  Maintain/update technology testing records, software inventory and upgrades, hardware inventory, and network design diagrams for wiring, racking, and components. Assess, Develop, Test & Configure equipment and network systems for optimal performance. Analyze, Develop, and Apply configuration templates. Use specialized tools and equipment to analyze customer networks and deduce root cause of customer network symptoms to define a corrective course of action to improve network performance, correct customer network failures, and improve overall network performance. Provide pre-rack configuration and wiring functions based on SOW and specific job requirements in accordance with industry standards and best practices. Lead and conduct site surveys for primary technology projects, creating designs, and proposing Bill of Materials and scope of work. Work with Sales Engineering team to understand and develop project scopes. Consult/Advise customer on solution identification and networking solutions.  Lead the efforts for department processes and procedures and lead training for all field engineers. Lead and assist remotely with field issues, projects, or quality assurance needs as necessary. Develop and create complex documentation for methods of procedure and proof of performance testing on network systems. Utilize advanced knowledge to create analysis report for customer presentations based on network findings.  Support the delivery of final documentation to customers via various collection methods. Required Experience/Skills: 6+ year's field or related work experience. Proficent in one or more of the following languages: Python, Perl, or Ruby. Ability to interface and communicate properly with the customer staff and become on-site lead contact. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to take direction and work within timelines. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with installation of computer programs and operating systems. Excellent knowledge of troubleshooting practices and techniques. Knowledge of customer relationships and presentation techniques. Excellent at developing training material and delivery technical training.  Time & Location Requirements:  Normal business hours, Monday thru Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. with flexibility to work outside of those hours as needed.  This position will require travel. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
